Informations sur Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung – Germany
Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (RLS) is much more than just a civic education institution. Founded in 1990 in Germany, this non-profit organization embodies the progressive and international values of the German Left Party (DIE LINKE).
Since its inception, the RLS has been committed to in-depth analysis of social processes and developments worldwide. In partnership with organizations globally, the RLS focuses its efforts on several key areas:
Democratic and social participation: The RLS actively promotes citizen participation and social democracy, thus fostering civic engagement and collective decision-making.
Empowerment of disadvantaged groups: It strives to empower marginalized and vulnerable communities by providing them with the tools to claim their rights and improve their living conditions.
Alternatives for economic and social development: The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung supports initiatives and policies aimed at creating sustainable and equitable development, with a focus on social and environmental justice.
Conflict prevention and peaceful resolution: By promoting dialogue and mutual understanding, the RLS contributes to mitigating tensions and resolving conflicts non-violently, both locally and internationally.
In addition to its activities in Germany, the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation also operates internationally, collaborating with partner organizations and networks across the globe. Through its international projects and initiatives, the RLS strives to promote solidarity among peoples and support movements for social justice and democracy worldwide.
One of the key pillars of the RLS's international work is its support for progressive movements and civil society organizations in countries facing political repression or social injustice. By providing funding, training, and technical assistance, the RLS helps these groups strengthen their capacities and advocate for positive change in their societies.
