Every year, the Swedish Institute awards for master studies at Swedish universities. Today, 299 people from 40 countries are awarded scholarship starting the academic year 2023/2024.
The Swedish Institute is a public agency with a staff of approximately 140 employees, with offices in Stockholm and Paris. Our commitment is to gain knowledge and understanding of different cultures, their people, and to promote Sweden and Swedish issues globally.

Swedish Institute received over 20 percent more applications for the scholarship. 9843 applications were received and out of those 7172 passed SI:s first screening process and were admitted to Swedish universities on 30 March, which are some of the requirements to be considered for the scholarship.
The final scholarship holders will be studying at 29 different higher education institutions in Sweden and are enrolled in 192 different study programmes. Among the most popular study fields are: social science, technology, and science.
