UL boasts a vibrant student community with over 11,000 full-time undergraduate students. Among these, more than 2,400 are international students, enriching the campus with diverse perspectives and cultures. Additionally, UL caters to 1,500 part-time students, demonstrating its commitment to flexible learning opportunities. The university also supports a robust postgraduate community, with over 800 research postgraduates and 1,300 postgraduate students receiving instruction.
Co-operative education programme
One of UL's standout features is its pioneering co-operative education ("co-op") programme. Walsh, the institution has been guided by Roger GH Downer, John O'Connor, Don Barry, and Des Fitzgerald.
